Gulfport Dive Center has partnered with Buy1Give1, a non-profit that donates business earnings to over 500 different charities. For every Open Water Diver course sold, $15 will go to the  Visakha Society for Protection and Care of Animals, a group from India that acts as a watchdog in fish markets for the illegal sale of Whale and Scalloped Hammerhead sharks. They also set up workshops for students and the fishing community to teach awareness and the importance of these species in the local food chain. ​
